Implemented a new function Max Lengths which works with
file names vs Max Length value. Only the path + file lengths exceed the Max Length value would be processed.
Implemented two new options:
Shorten File Names only to Max Length
Process only if Exceeds Max Length
Version 4.02 - 05/15/2018 -
Implemented a window / set of functions for manually replacing given
character strings via the main display window. This provides for
replacing stings within Selected items, Displayed
items, All items within the given folder and includes
simple Find and Replace functions.
You can choose to include SubFolders with the Replace All
function. This is designed to simplify your abbreviating common
names within your files and folders.
Version 4.01 - 08/24/2017 -
The Scan and Repair window has been redesigned to give
the user greater control. The new design incorporates a tabbed interface
to access the various operational modes. The modes are:
File Names - Work with characters for File Names
Folder Names - Work with characters for Folder Names
File Lengths - Work with lengths for File Names
Folder Lengths - Work with lengths for Folder Names
Path Lengths - Work with lengths for Paths
Path compression - the Path Lengths processing
is new with Version 4.01. This can be used to reduce path lengths to a
given target length.
The Truncation option is being changed to a Shorten
option which removes characters from the middle of the file name or
subfolder name. For paths, the shortening is prorated based on the length
of each subfolder name.
Version 3.07 - 03/25/2017 -
Modified the display function for the Scan and Repair
Window to significantly improve its processing speed.
This removes the bottleneck in both the Scan, Preview
and the Repair functions that occurred when the display
exceeded a few thousand lines.
Version 3.06 - 03/19/2016 -
Modified the "Change Path" function on the Scan and Repair
Window to "Switch to File / Fold".
As modified, the display is
switched to the Main Window with
the designated File or SubFolder
selected in the right pane of
the Main Window.
Implemented a rename function on the Scan and Repair Window.
Double-clicking a file / folder line in the display accesses the
rename function.
Implemented checkboxes for the Options Window. This replaces
the 'Ignore' Action selection and should prove more user friendly.
Version 3.05 - 09/13/2015 -
Revised the Save Display function on the Scan and Repair window
to implement saving the data as a Text file or a CSV file.
Implemented sort column function for Names and DateStamp columns.
Version 3.04 - 06/30/2015 -
Implemented a means for testing for Maximum Path Length separate
from Maximum (total) Length.
Revised the Scan messages to clarify their meaning.
Version 3.03 - 04/25/2015 -
Initial Public Release. As OneDriveRx is a limited version of
SharePrep,
it will use the same version and build numbers as SharePrep.
Implemented a method for designating filenames to be skipped.
This became necessary for OneDrive sync folders containing
the file named '.lock' which displays as a problem file.
Implemented functions for importing and exporting the 'Options'
file and the newly implemented 'Skip Files' file. This should
be useful for the customers with multi-use licenses.
