PurgeIE Pro 4.03 Beta

A Beta version for PurgeIE Pro 4.03 is now available for download.

This Beta functions for XP, Win2000, Vista and Win-7

This Beta version is intended for experienced customers.  

You should be safe in installing this to replace your current version.

Please send feedback via http://www.purgeie.com/support.htm after using the Beta for a few days.
Of course, report any problems immediately via CustService @ purgeie.net 

After installing the Beta, be sure to use the Check for Newer Version function under Tools to check for new builds and versions.

Modifications in PurgeIE Pro 4.03 Beta

  • Improved the clearing of data within the Index.dat files.  Recent versions of I.E. was not clearing the URL data in the Index.dat files. I.E. was simply marking them as "free". 

  • Modified the "Purge I.E. Folders at next Reboot" function to avoid the timing problems with Windows opening the Index.dat files early in the Boot process. This now deletes only the Index.dat files rather than the complete folder.

  • Implemented a new "Tools" function to "Display Hidden Browser Windows".

  • Implemented a function for Executing individual plugins via the "Select Plugins" window.
